Tony Northrup is known in the photography community to be knowledgable about cameras, techniques and the industry as a whole. in this video he shows how big companies are falsely advertising cameras to people all over the world.
In this (long but very interesting) video Tony explains how sensor size effects not only focal length but the aperture and ISO as well. He knows the math, explains it wonderfully and makes some amazing discoveries.

Conclusion and Thoughts
Tony you have done nothing less than a fantastic job of both explaining and highlighting this issue. Just brilliant.
I think advertisers should sell a lens for the focal length and aperture that it actually IS. If it is sold for crop sensor then the crop sensor figures is what should be advertised only, not the ‘equivalent’ figures. if it can be attached to different sensors then all settings need to be published INCLUDING the Fstop.
